BRANDING FOR SYFY CHANNEL SERIES LOST GIRL.

Lost Girl is a Sci-fi/Fantasy television series (in the vein of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and True Blood) that was originally produced for the Showcase network in Canada by Prodigy Pictures. After the show also started airing on the Syfy network in the U.S., Giant Ape Media (a Group 1200 Media company) picked up the home video distribution rights for Lost Girl, and I was tasked with creating a distinctive sci-fi look for the show out of materials that only consisted of un-retouched press release photos and screen shots.
The main character in the show, Bo, is a succubus who drains the life from her victims in the form of a blue smoke cloud. This blue smoke and the overall grungy/gothic aesthetic to the show are what inspired the branding for our release of Lost Girl.
